Dr. Roy is basically a Zoologist with a specialization in Marine Biotechnology. He’s a PADI certified Scuba Diver. He fell in love with the sea at the first sight of life underwater. It was a whole new world beneath and all the theory that was in his head suddenly seeped into his heart. He has worked as a Senior Research Fellow, Research Associate, Guest Lecturer and Ecologist in the fields of Zoology, Entomology, Aquaculture, Fisheries, Marine Biotechnology and Integrated Coastal Zone Management in different Government Organizations. His exposure to various fields has made him realize the importance of inter-disciplinary research in addressing issues related to conservation and management that he’s passionate about. Since February 2016, He work as a Project Scientist in the Zoological Survey of India – Marine Biology Regional Centre, Chennai. His work involves assisting the Principal Investigator in the Project – ‘Long term Coral Reef Monitoring Program at Lakshadweep
